Back from Christmas Break

Well, well, well all I got my gift, his name is Nick Saban....The Nicktator as Rae Rae Russell (JeMarcus Russell's father) likes to call him down here in Mobile...

I also got the flu, as the rest of my family did.

In short I couldn't and could be better.

Now the real football season starts, recruiting....but first lets get down to the coaching changes...

Raderball is gone, thank you, this furniture salesman who was plucked from some craphole in Louisiana went out with a bang gaining under 300 yards against a bad OSU defense, but he also actually was better in the redzone than Shulaball, in short while Shula was a F--- OC, Rader was an D-....still not material that should be at Bama....sad to see Kines go, he was the only good coach, besides Ball and Harbison who were decent but not great...Saban is getting a great staff together....here are some fo the new guys...

Kevin Steele:
Position: Defensive coordinator
Previous school, responsibilities: Florida State, linebackers coach and executive head coach

Bio: Serving as the Florida State linebackers coach, Steele was widely regarded as one of the top recruiters in all of college football. In 2006, Steele was was named the National Recruiter of the Year by Rivals.com. Steele will serve as the Tide's new defensive coordinator.

Kirby Smart
Position: Defensive backs (likely)
Previous responsibilities: Miami Dolphins, safeties coach

Bio: Another assistant with plenty of experience working with Saban, Smart spent last season as the safeties coach of the Dolphins after spending 2005 coaching running backs at Georgia. In 2004, Smart coached defensive backs for Saban at LSU and prior to that served as a graduate assistant at Florida State.

Lance Thompson:
Position: TBD
Previous responsibilities: UCF, defensive coordinator and defensive line coach

Bio: Thompson's position with the Tide is not yet known. Thompson has worked with Saban before as a recruiting coordinator at LSU and served as the Crimson Tide's defensive line coach during the 1999 SEC Championship season. Most recently Thompson served as the defensive coordinator, then defensive line coach at UCF. He could also coach tight ends.

Confirmed administration

Todd Alles
Position: Director of football operations
Previous responsibilities: Ohio State, program assistant

Bio: Alles, a 28-year coaching veteran, has spent the last two seasons at Ohio State as a program assistant for operations and recruiting. His last position at Ohio State was actually his third at the school, having previously served as a graduate assistant to Woody Hayes and a volunteer strength and conditioning coach and academic advisor for Jim Tressel.

Waiting on confirmation

Bobby Williams
Position: Running backs coach (likely)
Previous responsibilities: Miami Dolphins, running backs coach

Bio: Williams has served as the running backs coach for the Miami Dolphins for the last three seasons leading an attack that has been among the NFL's best. Prior to that, Williams coached wide receivers at LSU in 2004 and served the same role for the Detroit Lions in 2003. Williams succeeded Saban as the head coach of Michigan State from 2000-02 leading the Spartans to two bowl wins.

Joe Pendry
Position: Offensive coordinator (likely)
Previous responsibilities: Houston Texans, offensive coordinator

Bio: Pendry is a well-respected coach with nearly two decades of NFL experience, most recently as offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans under Dom Capers. Pendry had served as an offensive line coach for the Texans and as offensive coordinator for the Bills, Panthers and Chiefs. He's had stints as an assistant at the college level at Kansas State, West Virginia, Pitt and Michigan State.

Also included in this mix is Major Applewhite, Jeff Brohm, Paul Petrino maybe, and the OL coach form Louisville Williams...

Some apprehension about Pendry form Bama fans is currently underway, he was the Texans OC for half of this year before being promoted to OC....he did well considering ...the Texans were giving up 60-70 sacks a year before he got there, they gave up around 30+ this year, a significant improvement, despite the lack of talent...he had good success as OC at MSU in the early 80's, with the USFL Pittsburgh Maulers in the early 80's, and was RB coach when Mack and Byner were doing so well in 85' to 87'...experience and creditintials are excellent, not to mention his 3 year period as Bill OC from 97'-99' the Bill went to the playoffs those years, and to the AFC championship game in 99's, he made Rob Johnson into a respectable QB, and his offense totaled out to average in the Top 1/3rd combining those 3 years....he was also previously from 95'-96' leading the Panthers to the 96' AFC Championship game....3 AFC Championship games 2 as a RB Coach for a duo that one year each had over 1,000 yards(87' Byner and Mack)...99' as OC for the Bill and their good offense, and in 96' the NFC Championship Game with the Panthers who ahd a good offense as well.

Hard worker, experienced, successful, diligent, "preparer", Saban guy, versatile etc.

Good hire if it goes down...

Applewhite might be Co-OC with Pendry...he is young but very well known, Sarkisian, and Kififn too are young (USC's OC's), doens't stop them for having a good offense.

Now to recruiting, Joe McKnight, Allen Bailey, Marvin Austin, and others including Slidell Corley(punk), John Brown(I'll be John Brown! says every grandmother who was born during the Reconstruction Era of the South), and Michael Mcneil.

Noel Devine says he might be intrested.

Saban is a defensive guy, he will snag several of these guys and get them to TTown...

He also has shown the ability to recruit some great offensive talent....Including one JeMarcus Russell from here in Theodore...

With the team coming back, far superior coaches, better talent, and NO SHULABALL...Bama should be guaranteed 10 wins....The other SEC schools except Jawjuh lose a lot, a far better Bama which had close calls last year should maul people this year with no Capps to screw things up and give us by his own lonesome no blocking self non-existant run blocking and a minimum 2 sacks allowed by himself personally....or basically non-existant pass blocking also, and not to mention fumbling causing sacks that made the difference in 2 games, barn and Arky where 1 DefTD was scored and to short fielders were setup.

I look for Bama to big things upcoming year...say Atlanta and New Orleans?

Yes I'm that nuts, but Saban is that good, he took MSU/Ole Miss type talent and got to bowl games on PROBATION at MSU and beat OSU, Michigan, ND all when they were highly, highly ranked. He doesn't need to talent to win, but he gets it so he can win big, he's got it already, and he will make it better in the years to come....

I Thank The Thumb

Well Bama got the thumb courtesy of that cheat/liar Tubervvile....but it is a blessing in disguise. Now a REAL COACH can be hired, not some no adjusting, misuser of talent, utterly idiotic, refuser to put best players on the feild, offensive moron, ineffective and far worse John L. Smith wannabe.

Mike Shula si a terrible HC, he has no guts or brains.

This moron allowed Chrissy Capps to get JPW killed twice producing 2 fumbles that became Barn TDs, resfusing to even play it smart with Tatum....BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT GETS ME MAD.....ohhh no.

Our O-line that has been successful and has prduced great results depsite Shula's bad playcalling has been , Smith LT, Britt LG, CARDWELL C, Stabler RG, CALDWELL RT....Caldwell is our center in Shula's 2 minute offense(which is dropback not shotgun I complain righteously about this later) he become sour RT, AC SHUT DOWN that lsoer GROVES, meanwhile Sugar Plum Fairy (Capps) gave away the game....

Plus Kine's 3-3-5 defense ONCE AGIAN DID NOT WORK....although his gameplan wasn't bad, he screwed up soem things, he still hasn't taught his DBs to cover people coming out fo the backfield or in the endzone....despite al fo this the defense gets a C+ to B-......They weren't the reaosn we lost...NOPE.....It's Shula runnign the dang ball 3 times straight up the middle including 2 times in the "Jumbo Package", where behind a medicore(with Capps absolutely horrible-he makes everything at least 3 times as worse by him whiff blocking his man everytime-he's a pansy watch him)......a slow Tim Castille our FB runs the ball up to the line so he can get stuffed every play......meanwhile 6'2 227 4.4-4.5 speed Jimmy Johns sits on the sideline wondering when he will get to carry the ball and ocne again gain 6-8 yards as he did every time(except for the pathetic call by Shula to go HB pass to the short sid eof the field in the 4th JJ's run totals once again pass Darby's...Darby had around 2.5 yards per carry for 50 yards, JJ had around 5 etc.).

Shula is a miserble failure....He has no idea how to run an offense. He is not a leader in the right direction.

We will lose to Ohio 2-13 in the Motor City Bowl, but hey to quote Shula "We're improving"....if "improving" means becoming the Kentucky of the SEC WEST, then yea we are, if it means getting better(which it does), Shula you lying sack of dog turds....the only thing that should be coming of your mouth is "Do you have a reservation?" not "We played a good game today"....The players have been held back for far to long.

This team is rediculously talented.....Hall, Brown, Oakley, Stover, Mccall, Johns, JPW, our FBs, heck even Darby if he was used properly(which he neve rwas, he can't run inside Shula, he was an off-tackle runne...another one of Shula's failures)...

This team isn't FSU, Miami, or any other school that really is running on legacy and the talent really isn't there....This ALabama team had the talent to go at least 9-3 with jsut a decent coach. UT, the Barn, Arky were OUR GAMES TO WIN....WE HAD THE UPPER HAND....but Capps, Shula's "offense", and no use of JJ...CAUSED THOSE LOSSES.

All of these things Are Shula's Fault!

SANCTIONS ARE CRAP SHULA!

You HAVE THE TALENT! 3 NFL WRS HALL 6'3 215, BROWN 6'3-6'4(FROM WHAT I CAN TELL) 215, STOVER 6'2 215, Oakley who is FAST and agiel and has great hands, MCCALL WHO WAS NEVER USED, AND SECOND MOST IMPORTANTLY, CALDWELL AT RT!!!!

But the crime this year, above all the others, that this Miami(sorry Davey)reject has committed against all things Crimson....

6'2 227 POUNDS 4.4-4.5 AGILE QUICK UNBELEIVABLE POWERFUL AND PUNINSHING JIMMY JOHNS WAS NOT USED AS A FEATURE BACK.....

We have 100 yard rushing games vs. Arky, UT, the barn, and maybe UF if JJ was carrying the ball....IN ADDITION A PLAY ACTION GAME BECAUSE THE OPPONETS KNOW THAT THEY DON'T NEED TO BRIGN UP HELP AND RUN BLITZ TO STOP DARBY, HECK MOST OF THE TIME HE TRIPS UP AND STOPS HIMSELF!!!!

We ran 2 play action passes ot JJ this year in our big games, THEY BOTH WORKED GREAT BECAUSE EVERY DEFENDER RUSHED THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE TO STOP JJ FROM WHAT I REMEMBER.

When we play actioned to Darby, they laughed at us and dropped back into coverage.

Fact is Bama was not a 6-6 team

But Shula is a 6-6 AND WORSE coach....

FIRE SHULA!!!!

LSU Letdown

JPW throws for 290 yards and 2 TDs but included in that are 2 turnovers-1 fumble in the Red Zone-and 1 Int nearing the Red Zone(concerning this Bama team it should be called the "Dead Zone"), the ground game once again is average, at least not horrible though, BUT THIS TIME THE DEFENSE BLEW CHUNKS....

Kines had his worst game as a DC all year and since the Hawaii game in 2003...

He has not produced a defense all year that has been disciplined enough or even SCHEMED enough(that is directly your fault Kines)that is capable of defending screens and underneath passes. Added to that fact BINO(Ramzee Robinson)always manages to stumble at a critical point in the game, Ole Miss and now LSU.

LSU didn't beat us once DOWN the field, instead we suffered a slow antagonizing beat down by the LSU offense via screens and flat passes/outs. 2 15+ yard reception TDs on screens.....Doucet and then Hester....ughhh

Overpursuit killed Bama all night. But maybe this week Bama can finally end this nonsense with AU. JPW at home, with hopefully KB healthy. DJ Hall is awesome, Oakley and Stover are coming around. If Bama uses JJ more and runs KD for the overwelhming majority of the time(4/5ths)off-tackle...we can beat the Barn.

The defense was playing against a faster team and better line/QB in LSU. We get the Barn at home and we want to win this game real bad.

21-17 Bama....Hopefully.

One More Thing.....

Hey Muschamp(AU Defensive Coordinator-who is responsible for 27-10 vs. Arky embarrassment and a 37-15 vs. Jawjuh embarrassment, plus the Ole Miss embarrassment, the Buffalo embarrassment, the Tulane embarrassment, and the USC embarrassment etc.)

How do you stop Bama's ground game?

Its so easy even you can figure it out....

Illegal Aliens, Dems running people like Casey who aren't moonbats, and the usual Dead vote

cost the Reps not only the house but probably the Senate. Most of the races were 50-49 tight, excruitaingly close only a few thousand off, except in PA where voting machines had to be impounded..etc.

Anyway, Rove this was you before the Nov 7 elections(I'm getting this from a poster, on some site, that keeps on banning me....

The Loss of The Century

Well, Mike Shula is fired. He has no one to blame but himself. His arrogance and refusal to change has doomed him. His 4 plays on offense(streak/fade to WR, simple give and go to RB, FB/WR in flat, and Square In/out have been ineffective), his few formations easily dissected, and only the great talent of his players have managed to put whatever points were up on the board. 24-16 no offensive TDs, DJ Hall once again out muscling everyone to make huge play after huge play just to get us down the field so we can kick a FG, no commitment to te running game, missuse of talent....Jimmy Johns used every play it seems on Special Teams, meanwhile one carry predictably to the right sid eof our fofensive line which is none existant, he was met 3 yards in the backfield hea don by a LB, but at 6'2 227 pounds he eaisly ran right over him for no gain, saving us 3 yards....Shula innovativeness comes from simple reverses easily defended and sniffed out for a loss when we ar ein the red zone. 0-4 in the redzone vs. MSU. MSU had 2 wins coming into this game, UAB 14-12 and Jacksonville St. Croo's offense lucked out a couple of times and caught Bama's still Good defense asleep early on(the only reason why is because Shula is no where near it)....JPW sacked, hurried, driven into the dirt all day, Capps the usual suspect.

This is embarrasing, Shula should have by now changed his blockign scheme, replaced Capp with Tatum, used JJ as the feature back, and established some sort of long play action game to our superior and fast WRs..... we couls hvae won 27-10 if he was just a decent offensive coordinator...he is horrible. Predictable, no innovativeness, arrogant, dumb, no ability to adapt(we are jsut gonna do what we do), undisciplined team that doesn't care(dreadlocks and Brodie's on top of people's head prove this)...his team is soft jsut like him....Shula has failed.

Rick Neuheuisal, should at least be brought in as offensive coordinator, he is available, and if we give him the reigns he is up to the task and probably will like it. Michael Westbrook is no where near our 2 monsters Shula holds back, Keith Brown and DJ Hall....

Shula must go or at elast give up play calling duties...and his partner in crime Radar need to go back to where he came from....selling horse crap to maure collectors in Louisiana.
